Digitized Checklists to LC's Manuscript Microfilm Collections from Mt. Sinai, Athos, and the Greek and Armenian Patriarchates in Jerusalem

In the late 1940s and early 1950s the Library of Congress microfilmed manuscript collections from the various monasteries on Mt. Athos in Greece, the Monastery of St. Catherine on Mt. Sinai, and the Greek and Armenian Patriarchates in Jerusalem. They also prepared transparencies of illuminations from many of these manuscripts. These sets have proved both popular and very important to historians, scholars, art historians and other academics and copies of the reels and transparencies are available for sale from the Library's Duplication Services [http://www.loc.gov/duplicationservices/].

As the checklist guides to these sets have been long unavailable, the Library has embedded links to them in PDF or page turner format in cataloging records for each:

We hope that these will assist  you in your research.
